The day begins with a drive from Tirana to the Llogara National Park, a jewel of Albania’s natural landscape. Our hike starts in a dense forest, gradually giving way to rocky paths. A shepherd’s settlement adds charm to the journey before reaching “Qafa e Thellë,” where the views span the coast and, on clear days, can reach up to the Italian shoreline. End the day in a tranquil hotel within the park, surrounded by nature’s serenity.

After breakfast, we will jump on the kayaks for a tour on the Ionian Sea’s crystal-clear waters. Our destination is the fascinating Pirate’s Cave, a massive cavern with an entrance split by a natural stone pillar. Inside, marvel at the cave’s impressive size and formations. The day ends in Dhërmi, where a delicious lunch is planned, followed by a free afternoon to enjoy the beach and the sun at your leisure. Accommodation in Dhërmi.

Begin the day with a transfer to the trailhead for Ngjipe. Your guide will lead you on the descend via a well-prepared path, pausing at scenic viewpoints to take in the stunning surroundings. The Ngjipe Canyon, stretching over 2 kilometres and reaching depths of more than 100 meters, is a testament to nature’s artistry. You will have some free time to spend at the unspoiled Ngjipe Beach, known for its pristine sands and clear waters, before retracing your steps to the vehicle to start our scenic drive along the Ionian Coast.
We will stop at the Bay of Porto Palermo, known for its natural beauty and as a key Cold War military base, and visit the ruins of Ali Pasha’s Fortress. After the visit, continues the journey to Saranda where our overnight stay is planned.

Our day starts with a visit to Butrint, Albania’s premier archaeological site and a UNESCO World Heritage, once a major city of Epirus and linked to the legend of prince Aeneas. Afterward, we will head to Ksamil, famed for its turquoise waters and Mediterranean charm, ideal for a relaxing afternoon. The day concludes with the return to Saranda, where you’ll have the evening for yourself.

After breakfast starts the transfer to Labovë, home to one of the Balkans’ most significant Byzantine monuments. After visiting the historic church, we will embark on a scenic hike to the village of Libohovë. The region is renowned for its culinary traditions, preserved throughout the ages. Lunch will be enjoyed at a local farm, featuring fresh homemade dishes prepared in the traditional style. In the afternoon, follows the exploration of Gjirokastra, a beautifully preserved Ottoman merchant town, with visits to its castle and a historic museum house. Accommodation in Gjirokastra.

In the morning, begins the return trip to Tirana with a stop along the way at the archaeological site of Apollonia. Founded in 588 BC as a Corinthian colony, this ancient city was named after the god Apollo and once thrived with a population of 60,000. Its decline began in the 4th century due to a river alteration that silted its harbour. After exploring the site, we will continue to Tirana for some free time, followed by a guided city tour. The day concludes with a farewell dinner at a traditional restaurant and drinks in the vibrant Blloku quarter. Overnight in Tirana.
